About Johnston Terrace

This apartment is in an elevated position just below Edinburgh's famous Castle giving it magnificent views over the city skyline to the south. It will make a great place to stay for either a family or a group of friends.The apartment is located parallel to Princes street on the Old Town side of Edinburgh.It is 100m from the Royal Mile which offers wonderful places to visit. If you want to spend your days sightseeing and shopping, this is the place for you.
At night there is just as much to do, there are great restaurants close by, old and new bars that are as quiet or lively as you want are a short walk away. The lively Grassmarket area is only a 5 minute walk.

The Johnston Terrace apartment is nestled at the base of the Castle. The apartment sleeps up to 6 people in two bedrooms. One of the rooms is a family room consisting of a double and single bed. The second room has three single beds. The apartment has a large living room with a TV, CD player/radio, comfortable seating area and dining table, a well-fitted kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower.

The Johnston Terrace apartment is heated by gas central heating. Bed linen and towels are supplied for you and appliances include a washing machine/dryer. The shops are only 100 meters away. Parking facilities are available in the NCP car park in Kings Stables Road 400meters away. Free overnight parking is available in street during the nights.

This apartment is on the third floor of a traditional block and does not have a lift. The apartment may be noisy in the evenings for the duration of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in August.

Directions from Edinburgh Airport:
Edinburgh Airport has direct flights from Europe, and has easy air connections with London and the rest of Britain. The airport is 15 km from the city centre. Guest can travel via taxi or take one of the shuttle buses from the airport to the city centre.

By Road
The fast A1 and M1 and M6 motorways stretch almost the whole way from London to Edinburgh. There are daily coach services from London, Manchester and Newcastle.

Directions by rail:
Edinburgh is served by fast express trains. The journey time from London to Edinburgh is about 4 hours. Waverley Station is 2km from Glen House.

Directions from City Centre
The apartment is located 5-10 minutes from Waverly Bridge located on the east side of Princes Street. Guests should turn right from the bridge onto Market Street. Continue upwards and turn left at the top of the street. Continue until you meet a crossroads. Turn right at the crossroads and take the left fork on to Johnston Terrace. The apartment is located on the right hand side of Johnston Terrace.
